Rees McDaniel |
Missionary Information:
David Rees McDaniel has lived more than half of his life, 12+ years, in Tokyo, Japan. As a son of missionaries David & Maria McDaniel, he has been blessed as a missionary kid. Because of his love for the Japanese people and his passion for Christ, he is entering into the next phase of training, serving, and ministry leadership. Rees says, “Wherever God leads, I’m game.”
Current Ministry:
Rees has accepted an assignment to work with YWAM Tokyo for the next two years, primarily focusing on youth ministries. His vision is to see the local high school transformed by the message of Jesus. The YWAM team he is working with implements strategies to build relationships with students through gaining trust, embracing lives with healing, redemption, and faith. Rees respects and honors the pathway God has made available to him and his heart’s desire is to pour into Japanese youth as he has been poured into.
Prayer Requests:
Rees shares, “I’m learning that taking this first step into full-time ministry requires me to be financially responsible and self-sustaining for the first time. Prayers for wisdom as I establish a support base and for financial strength are appreciated. Also, please pray that I will learn how to rise up to the responsibilities of being an adult with some measure of grace.”
