Many of you are aware that Pastor Rolo and I have been close friends for over 35 years and, that I would not be pastoring Water of Life had he not been in my journey. Gale and I are both very grateful to Rolo for his place in our lives and for his ministry at Water of Life.
In recent weeks, you may have heard that we shared with our staff that Pastor Rolo’s employment with Water of Life was terminated due to a moral failure. Taking this action was very difficult but was done in the best interests of everyone, including Pastor Rolo.
It would not be appropriate for us to go into detail about the events that led to this decision. As you well know, one of our core values is healing and we are committed to helping the families involved find the healing and restoration they need.
We have no doubt that this is the right course of action and, at the same time, we are deeply grieved over our loss as Pastor Rolo has been part of our family and our church family for decades.
We thank Pastor Rolo for his years of serving WOL staff and congregation faithfully and sacrificially, and for contributing so significantly to the countless lives that have been transformed for Jesus through this ministry. He has a heart for people and we are confident that after a season of rest, healing, and restoration, God will use Rolo again. In terminating his tenure, we in no way want to diminish the good work he did while he was here.
WOL will continue to be a place of hope, healing, faith and love through the powerful and transforming message of God’s love that our nation and world need to hear now more than ever, during this time of instability and uncertainty.
We are saddened over the hurt and pain this has caused any of you. 2020 has been a very difficult year on many fronts but as a family who loves, honors, and respects one another, we are confident God will see us through to a new and wonderful season at WOL. Please pray for us as we embark on the process of building new leadership.
