Ingrid Bruce

Ingrid Bruce serves under Pastors Uche and Sola Izuora in Arua, Uganda. She completed 2 short term outreaches in Arua, Uganda 2017 and 2018. In 2021, God called her to form Steams of Hope International Partners, Inc. (SHIP), to teach refugees from South Sudan basic English for them to survive in a foreign country. She spent 6 months in Arua in 2022 and in 2023 and God called her to move there in 2024.

Ingrid teaches English to refugee volunteers who have graduated secondary school who, then in turn, teach children who do not have the opportunity to attend school and adults who never attended school. This is necessary for their survival because English is a common language. Uganda’s official language is Swahili even though many other languages are spoken depending on the region. South Sudanese refugees typically speak Arabic.

She also helped establish Women’s Ministries in refugee camps to encourage these women from God’s Word to help them with depression and suicide. Women often feel hopeless, helpless and forgotten. Helping them to recognize their identity is in Jesus Christ lifts their spirits and transforms their lives because they know they are not forgotten. Enlightened women will have an impact that can change lives in the generations to come.

She continues teaching and raising leaders in 3 widows’ ministries she started in Bidi-Bidi and Imvepi camps in norther Uganda and also 1 in Kampala. These 3 ministries are covered under Parakletis, Pastor Glen’s ministry!
