We are excited about your interest in a GO Team

GO Teams are a unique opportunity to connect the 5 core values of Water of Life found in Luke 4:18-19: Healing, Sending, Caring, Equipping and Relationships.

On a Global Outreach trip you will find yourself:

  • Proclaiming healing to those around you
  • Sending others out of their brokenness to heal others – as well as being sent out yourself!
  • Caring for the poor, the hurting and the needy
  • Getting equipped before you go through classes, teaching and training
  • And building life-long relationships as you prepare and serve with your team

Check out any upcoming teams below and click on any open team for more information including trip dates, approximate cost ranges, partner information and the types of ministry each team plans to do.

We encourage you to take a moment to pray before reading through the team list. Let the Holy Spirit speak to your spirit and direct you how He might want you to serve this year.

Mexico Weekend Teams

Agua De Vida Orphanage

TEAM FOCUS

Children’s ministry

Agua de Vida Orphanage (ADV) located in Ciudad Morelos, 25 minutes south of Yuma, Arizona. ADV is both a church and a safe, secure and loving home for 20+ children who have sought refuge due to less fortunate circumstances. Mario and Veronica Santos are the host parents at the orphanage and their mission is to provide an atmosphere that builds a child’s faith in God and grows them in Godly character. Water of Life teams serve the orphanage by performing children’s activities and ministries that include Bible stories, dramas and games. Teams may also help with ongoing construction or work projects to support on-site staff. Mario and Veronica have a heart for the surrounding community so our teams often assist with neighborhood relief projects, evangelism and community outreaches. The Santos’ also run a church and our teams sometimes stay to help run various parts of their church services assisting with children’s ministry, worship or preaching.

CAMBODIA

TEAM FOCUS

Marriage/Family Ministry and Youth Camp

Water of Life teams partner with New Life Fellowship Church (NLF) in Cambodia. Although the country is only 2-3% Christian, it is one of the most receptive nations to Christianity. Under the leadership of Pastor Samdy and his wife Navy, New Life has a vision to reach all of Cambodia for Jesus by planting 500 churches across their 25 provinces (states).

When our teams serve with NFL in the capital city of Phnom Penh they help teach English, share in dorms housing people who moved to the city from rural villages as well as visit other ministries overseen by New Life. The Activate youth team runs a youth camp for New Life Christian School every summer full of teaching, worship, relationship building and lots of fun!

EGYPT

TEAM FOCUS

Evangelism & sharing your faith with Muslims

Our ministry partner is Initiative Ministry (IM) and their goal is to establish new believers who are choosing to leave a major religion for a relationship with the Messiah. They help establish new house churches and equip believers how to reach others. They are severely persecuted despite being faithful to the call and ministry that God has given them.

Our work with IM is to stand next to them, encourage locals to share their faith and share about Jesus in a way that will not hinder their existing ministry. Much of the ministry will be in the “cooler” evenings when people are out of their homes and want to “hang out” with others. There are endless opportunities to talk about Jesus in 1-on-1 conversations with new friends you meet.

ETHIOPIA

August 11-21

TEAM FOCUS

Evangelism, house visits, encouragement of local believers

Ethiopia- e3 Partners Stands for Equip, Evangelize and Establish.
e3 works to make the local church accessible to every person, everywhere. Through relationships with indigenous leaders, we plant churches locally and globally using a variety of methods including training, short-term trips, long-term missionaries, local evangelism, media and more. So, whatever gifts and resources God’s blessed you with, let’s work together to expand the Kingdom across the whole earth!

“The earth will be covered with the knowledge of the glory of God as the waters cover the sea.” — Habakkuk 2:14

e3, reaches the people who have never heard the Gospel once in their lives. One of their emphasis has been to go hut to hut in small villages in the Oromo area-who are predominantly Muslims. The people are extremely hospitable and quickly allow you to enter their homes to talk and allow you to explain why you have come.

e3 has been engaged for 12 years in planting churches among the various tribes of Ethiopia. We work hand in hand with indigenous believers who have been trained by local Ethiopians in presenting a relevant message to whatever people we find. They have disciplers and church planters go with Water of Life teams from one location to the next.
