Children’s ministry
Agua de Vida Orphanage (ADV) located in Ciudad Morelos, 25 minutes south of Yuma, Arizona. ADV is both a church and a safe, secure and loving home for 20+ children who have sought refuge due to less fortunate circumstances. Mario and Veronica Santos are the host parents at the orphanage and their mission is to provide an atmosphere that builds a child’s faith in God and grows them in Godly character. Water of Life teams serve the orphanage by performing children’s activities and ministries that include Bible stories, dramas and games. Teams may also help with ongoing construction or work projects to support on-site staff. Mario and Veronica have a heart for the surrounding community so our teams often assist with neighborhood relief projects, evangelism and community outreaches. The Santos’ also run a church and our teams sometimes stay to help run various parts of their church services assisting with children’s ministry, worship or preaching.

Door of Faith Orphanage (DOFO), is located in La Mision (halfway between Rosarito and Ensenada) and is just 1 hour south of the San Diego/Tijuana border. DOFO has served orphan children and the surrounding community for over 50 years! They provide a loving home to over 100 children and are one of the largest orphanages in Baja California. In addition to caring for children, they facilitate building houses for families in need, serve other orphanages and partner with other local ministries to do evangelism and community outreach. Teams who visit DOFO may participate in a number of activities including those listed above and also children’s ministry, helping cook meals and small work projects on-site. Our teams often travel outside of the orphanage to partner with other nearby ministries as needs arise.

FOCUS: Evangelism and Refugee Outreach
Our team will partner with Youth for Christ (YEC), Lebanon to minister to youth in downtown Beirut and to those in the Bekaa Valley in refugee camps. Ministry opportunities may include:
Evangelism & sharing your faith with Muslims
Our ministry partner is Initiative Ministry (IM) and their goal is to establish new believers who are choosing to leave a major religion for a relationship with the Messiah. They help establish new house churches and equip believers how to reach others. They are severely persecuted despite being faithful to the call and ministry that God has given them.
Our work with IM is to stand next to them, encourage locals to share their faith and share about Jesus in a way that will not hinder their existing ministry. Much of the ministry will be in the “cooler” evenings when people are out of their homes and want to “hang out” with others. There are endless opportunities to talk about Jesus in 1-on-1 conversations with new friends you meet.
Children’s ministry and work projects
Our teams will partner with Mission of Grace, a non-denominational, Christ-centered organization that seeks to meet the needs of Haitians through love and compassion. Established in 2010 by Ms. Lynn, their intention is to bring light to a dark and hopeless society through five ministries: an orphanage, school, church, elderly home, and a medical clinic. The staff at Mission of Grace has a heart to love and care for those who are the most vulnerable and are intentional about sharing Christ’s love with them.
Friendship evangelism
India has a gigantic population of huge cities, a vast number of villages and incredible opportunities to encourage those who don’t have much materially and lack social status. Our partner in Northern India, NT, ministers among those poverty stricken in a very large city. They have been faithfully laboring in India for decades through their grandparents, themselves and their grandchildren to touch some of the most-needy at every level. They share Jesus and other life changing information to transform hearts, economic situations, social lives as well as teach many how to read and write.
Our team will partner with NT and their leaders and translators in community development activities designed to attract people looking to improve their life while we also build relationships and discern opportunities to share about Jesus.
Medical outreaches and community outreach
Our teams partner with YWAM medical ships in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea (PNG) and possibly other existing ministries in PNG. Through our church plant in Townsville, Australia, God is positioning Water of Life to reach and minister to the country of PNG. We will partner with YWAM ships to support their medical outreaches as well as do community outreach where the medical ship travels. We hope to support YWAM ships with medical support, community outreach and evangelism. Healthcare professionals are needed on each outreach on the ship. Non-healthcare professionals are welcome too!
