Caitlyn grew up at Water of Life, and moved to Texas in 2017 to serve as a full-time missionary with The Prayer Room Missions Base in Dallas, sustaining 22 hours a day of live prayer and worship. Preston started volunteering at The Prayer Room in 2019, married Caitlyn in 2023, and has served as a part-time missionary since 2024. Both serve as intercessors in the prayer room, and Caitlyn also leads worship. Preston is head of the Base Ops department, leading a team of volunteers for maintenance and janitorial. Caitlyn serves on the senior leadership team as head of Community Life, Events, and marketing, and also teaches a few times a year in the Saturday night service. Preston and Caitlyn carry a passion for the church to grow in intimacy with Jesus through prayer and worship, and to be spiritually prepared for His return. Caitlyn has published a book called “Pursuing One Thing” which is available on Amazon, and also blogs and equips missionaries in support-raising through fearlesslyfunded.com. In this season, The Prayer Room feels a heightened focus and supernatural favor to pour energy into strengthening other houses of prayer across the US (and even a few internationally). In 2005 when TPR started, we knew that we would one day be used to impact and strengthen the prayer movement in ways that seemed too big to comprehend. As the years passed and TPR slowly grew from an hour a day in a living room to 22 hours a day in our own building, our director Brad was taking notes of all the practical lessons we were learning. These lessons are invaluable in the prayer movement because many houses of prayer have a solid theological vision but have significant gaps administratively and strategically.
In Spring 2021, we committed to increase our efforts to equip other houses of prayer, and have since sent Brad on consulting trips to other houses of prayer every single month! We’ve seen incredible fruit from these trips, as ministries get refreshed with dynamic vision, dramatically multiply their prayer hours overnight, and receive keys of wisdom to unlock roadblocks that felt impassable.
